Sha’Carri Richardson, the reigning 100m World champion and Olympic silver medalist, will headline the women’s 100m field at the 50th anniversary of the Prefontaine Classic on July 5th.

Richardson won last year’s race in 10.81s and then went on to claim the U.S. Olympic Trials title in 10.71, which was the fastest time in the world for 2024. At the Paris Olympics, she claimed the 100m silver medal behind St. Lucia’s Julien Alfred and then was the anchor on the gold medal-winning U.S. 4x100m squad.
